A strategy board game between two players which involves diagonally moving pieces called draughtsmen and the mandatory capture of your opponents draughtsmen by jumping over said men. The game is played on an 8×8 board, but there are many other variants. The game has been played in Europe since the 16th century, and a similar game was certainly known to the ancients. In the British Museum are specimens of ancient Egyptian draught boards. Contents:wooden board approx 29 x 29 cm, 12 black & 12 white Draughtsmen. Ages 8+
