Wooly Mammoth: hand painted 1:20 detailed replica prehistoric mammal approx 100mm high. The woolly mammoth, an extinct species died out at the end of the Pleistocene 12,000 years ago. This animal is known from bones and frozen carcasses from Ireland to the east coast of North America with the best preserved carcasses in Siberia. The 2.70 m (9 ft) tall creature had large upward-facing tusks and thick fur consisting of black hairs, which could be as long as 1 m during winter.
